For the faith-based, life-affirming pregnancy center movement.   Our goal is to train and equip every staff member and every volunteer in every crisis pregnancy resource center (PRC) in the United States to share the gospel clearly and simply at every step in the PRC – at no cost to the Center.

 

By God’s grace, since inception in mid-2008, we have

• Partnered with Care Net, the ministry which  has networked with, coached, educated,  and even establishes pregnancy centers across the U.S. since 1973.  Over 1140 pregnancy centers are members of their network.  Care Net selected SMSC as their primary evangelism training provider in September, 2009.
• Enrolled over 500  PRCs in the Save the Mother, Save her Child (SMSC) program
• Created a spiritual guide for workers in the pregnancy centers: (colon) Witnesses to the Life
• Completed online and instructor-led training curriculum in personal evangelism (ACT) and the application of personal evangelism in the pregnancy center (SMSC student workbooks, Instructor guide, video role play, and a complete kit of client resources)
• Launched the first-ever online evangelism training for pregnancy center staff and volunteers
• Trained 67 Certified Instructors around the United States including regional trainers for Care Net, Sonography Now, Alliance for Life Missouri, and One by One (mentoring program for young parents)

SMSC Results

 

Our reporting process requires that participating PRCs validate their results each month.  The rate of presentations of the gospel is typically more than double the rate of the year prior to joining SMSC and continues to increase monthly as the center staff and volunteers apply the training across their entire center.

 

 

 

 

One of our Executive Directors, in New Hampshire wrote:

“I can’t say enough about this training! I seriously can’t. God keeps sending people into the Center—for very strange and different reasons. And almost every conversation ends in asking them if anyone has ever taken a Bible and… ! I don’t know what to say about this BECAUSE I’ve been the Exec. Director here for 16 years and I’ve NEVER seen people so hungry! I can only assume that we, as a staff, feel so confident from this particular training—that we are going out of our way to find ways to lead into a spiritual discussion!
