In 1973, Larry Moyer graduated from seminary and immediately felt called to start an evangelistic ministry with a commitment to three key principles:

 

• a clear presentation of the gospel;
• a careful handling of Scripture; and
• a core doctrine of grace.

 

Inspired by a passion for the lost and a calling to share Christ, Larry created a simple way of sharing the gospel that anyone could learn- the "Bad News/Good News" method.

Throughout the 70’s, Larry traveled around the country reaching individuals and groups as he evangelized through personal contact and public speaking.

 

The 80s, As EvanTell's impact continued, churches were hungering to be evangelistic in their everyday walk.

Those inspired by the ministry of EvanTell asked Larry to capture his passion and message in a way that could be used anytime and anywhere. 

 

The You Can Tell It! and You Can Preach It! seminars were a result of this need. 

 

The 90s, As interest in EvanTell's clear and simple gospel approach continued to gain momentum,  EvanTell implemented a train-the-trainers multiplication model by certifying instructors to teach the You Can Tell It! seminar.
 

 

The new model began to boost EvanTell's reach exponentially and the ministry quickly became worldwide in scope with the publication and translation of the May I Ask You a Question? gospel tract.

 

The 00s, In 2006 Larry challenged EvanTell's Board of Directors to help him ensure that the ministry would live well beyond him - and to continue boldly declaring the gospel according to the core principles established in 1973.

 

During the past five years, the scope and impact of the ministry continued to grow. Through the generous support of individuals, churches, and foundations; EvanTell will continue to declare the gospel, activate believers, and prepare the upcoming generations for years to come.
