“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:6–7)
As students head back to school this fall, the political and cultural climate has made people more nervous than ever. So, just how do we encourage our young people to live out the gospel in a broken world?
Begin with prayer—it’s too important to forget. Scripture encourages us to pray for one another and to bring any anxious feelings to our Lord. Pray for His peace to guard your heart as well as the hearts of fellow believers.
Will you join us over the next 3 weeks in a focused time of prayer for our students and teachers?
To keep it simple, we’ll use the acrostic S.C.H.O.O.L:
S — Safety
C — Confidence
H — Hope
O — Opportunity
O — Obedience
L — Love
