We recently started a “Back to School Prayer Challenge” using the acronym S.C.H.O.O.L. Today, let’s look at the second “O”— obedience.
Begin by reading the following passage:
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matt. 28:18–20).
Continue by praying for students/teachers to be obedient to the “Great Commission”:
- Pray for them to be about the business of making disciples.
- Pray for them to be obedient to the Holy Spirit’s leading.
- Pray for them to remember God is always with us.
Conclude with any other related requests that come to mind.
