Movies and books often show society’s fascination with end-time events. Is there a way to use this as a springboard for the gospel?
Absolutely! When people talk about end time events of any kind, it gives us opportunity to say something such as: “You know, I’ve been thinking and reading about the end of the world and end time events. I’m convinced that the most important thing is not what the world is coming to or when it is going to end, but who is coming to the world. Do you have a few moments for me to explain what I mean?” You can then explain that when Christ came the first time, He dealt with the penalty of sin. When He comes the second time, it will be to deliver those who know Him from the presence of sin (Heb. 9:28). What an opportunity to explain the Gospel.
